With millions of fans worldwide, U2 is one of the most influential bands today. Formed in 1976, they continue to sell out venues and produce hit albums. ALMOST U2 (or AU2) strives to capture the power and magic of a live U2 show in every way.

A year in the making, AU2 is the southeastern United States' premier U2 tribute band. AU2 was formed by four friends in 2006 who share two passions - playing live music and U2. Being avid U2 fans themselves, AU2 will accept nothing less than a truly authentic U2 concert style performance both visually and especially in the most important way - musically.

Together, the musicians of AU2 bring a lifetime of experience.

J. Scott (Bono), a singer who has fronted many other successful bands including Storm and Black Book Romance, successfully captures the range and essence of Bono live in concert.
Mike Monroe (The Edge), a guitarist since the age of 7 who has played with many other groups including Evermore and Temporary Sanity, brings authenticity to the complex guitar riffs of U2. By using equipment identical to what The Edge employs, Mike flawlessly recreates the unique U2 guitar sound and style.
Jeff McKee (Larry Mullen, Jr.), having played drums since the age of 12 with many other bands including Temporary Sanity and Orion, faithfully performs the intricate U2 drum and percussion parts with stunning precision. He does this with his custom assembled drum set, which is identical to Larry's.
Craig Allen (Adam Clayton), a bass guitar player for 25 years and veteran of several successful groups including Great Awakening and Buck Shamus, completes the rhythm section. Playing with two custom modified Fender Jazz Basses (one fretless), Craig reproduces Adam's bass lines down to the smallest detail.
